The hills, landscapes, waterways and vineyards on which Grapevine Gathering WA takes place is of the Kaurna People. It is important to acknowledge the cultural significance of the Swan River, as it was a resting place that held important cultural/spiritual ceremonies for the local Aboriginal people for over 60,000 years. We recognise and acknowledge their people and their deep spiritual attachment that connects them to country. In doing so, we pay respect to their ancestors and elders and make a commitment to stand with their peoples towards a reconciled future.
